Camping sites - Isle of Barra

There are certain areas around the island that are common places for camping where you can wake up to some of the most breath taking views in the country!

If camping appeals to you then an appropriate gesture would be to donate £5.00 per tent towards township funds.

Due to erosion on Vatersay's east & west beaches camping is not allowed next to the edges of the dunes, the area prohibited is fenced off and runs from the fence to the shore. Camping is allowed inside (fence-inland) the fenced area.
