How to get to Ceum a Bhealaich

From Castlebay Ferry Terminal

Turn left from the Ferry Terminal and follow the road out of Castlebay, past the turning for Vatersay (spelt Bhatersaigh). The house is at the foot of Heather Hill, first entrance on the left hand side.


From Barra Airport

On leaving the airport turn left. Continue on this road until you come to a T-junction at Northbay. At this junction turn right and continue for about 7 miles. You will pass the reservoir, Barra Church of Scotland, Craigston and the Isle of Barra Hotel. You will come to the top of a hill from which you will see Castlebay. Ceum a Bhealaich in on the right hand side at the base of the hill, before the Vatersay (spelt Bhatersaigh) turning.

From Ard Mhor Ferry Terminal

On leaving the ferry continue on the road until you get to a T-junction. Turn left and continue until you reach a second T-junction at Northbay. At this junction turn right and continue for about 7 miles. You will pass the reservoir, Barra Church of Scotland, Craigston and the Isle of Barra Hotel.
