Licensed for TWO PEOPLE but you can choose either the double or twin not both. House overlooking the beach with stunning view looking towards Eriskay and the Traigh Mhor or cockle beach where the plane lands on the beach runway.
Situated at the North end of the island and within easy reach of the airport and Ardmhor ferry to Eriskay. Complimentary tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate,herbal fruit teas, and biscuits.Hairdryers in each room. Iron and ironing boards available on request.

You will arrive at the back of the property where you will find ample parking. A walk round the front you will find the porch entrance facing the sea.
I stayed with Lorna in May – beautiful, comfortable accommodation in the most stunning location close by the airport beach in Barra. Lorna was so friendly and helpful – when my ferry back to Oban was cancelled, she immediately put my mind at rest by saying that I could stay on for another night as her next guests had been due to arrive on that ferry!
Delicious breakfast, spacious, comfortable bedroom and a lovely sitting room with an amazing view across to Eriskay and beyond. Highly recommend, hope to return soon.

I stayed for 2 nights and wished I could have stayed longer. Lorna is such a lovely accommodating host – she provides everything and more for an exceptional stay. The property is in a wonderful place, right on the beautiful beach. The rooms are out of this World, so clean and furnished to top specifications. More like a luxury hotel with toiletries, bathrobe, slippers – you are well and truly spoiled. Breakfasts are a feast – everything you could possibly want and they set me up for the day ! I would love to keep this place as my secret …… I would come back in a heartbeat. I will have happy memories of my stay at Sealladh na Mara.

We stayed at this wonderful BnB last week. Lorna made us so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her home is spotless; from the fluffy white towels and bathrobes to an ice bucket and torch, she has thought of everything her guests might need to enjoy a comfortable stay. The choice for breakfast is endless.
Her home is situated 5 minutes from the airport; with stunning views in every direction. We were lucky enough to see the resident sheep and two lambs frolicking around the house every day.
Lorna offers excellent advice on what’s available and where to go on the island. This is one BnB not to be missed.

A really superb place to stay. The accommodation was 5 star with a really spacious and well equipped double bedroom and Ensuite. Lorna had thought of everything from a torch to wine glasses and ice bucket.
There was also an immaculate and cosy guest sitting room and the breakfasts were brilliant. My husband enjoyed the Stornaway black pudding and I loved the locally produced smoked haddock and poached eggs.
Lorna was very friendly and informative. I can see why this B and B is rated best on the island. Hopefully we will be back.

My friend and I spent four nights here (12th – 16th September). From the moment we arrived we were totally spoiled. Lorna was amazing – so friendly and easy to chat to – a true ambassador for Scottish hospitality. She advised us on things to do/places to visit which made our stay so enjoyable. The bedrooms were beautiful – mine had gorgeous views across the bay and the generous breakfasts set us up for the day. Spending our evenings relaxing in the welcoming lounge, with glorious views across the bay to the airfield was something to look forward to after a day’s walking over the beaches dotted around the island. I have seldom felt so relaxed and I think my friend feels the same. We are already talking about a repeat visit and cannot think of anywhere we would rather stay.

We stayed at Lorna’s place for a long weekend. It was a fantastic relaxing weekend . Barra is beautiful and Lorna couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms are spectacular with everything you need. We had an amazing sea view room and the sunrises were spectacular. There was so much choice for breakfast but I recommend the freshly caught haddock. Delicious. We will definitely be back.
