Escape to our lovely little whitewashed cottage at the foot of Heaval, on the Isle of Barra, which sleeps up to 8 and has been recently renovated to a high standard to provide a stylish and calm holiday minutes from the white sandy beaches of the islands west coast.
Bothan Beinn is situated in the Borve township at the end of a single track road looking out towards the Atlantic Ocean.
The house sits in an enclosed garden laid to lawn with patio and decking areas for outdoor dining and relaxing.
Parking is available for 2 cars to the side of the house.
4 bedrooms, 2 doubles downstairs, one en-suite, both with queen size beds and 2 twin rooms upstairs. Family bathroom with shower downstairs.
Underfloor heating throughout the downstairs rooms and wall hung radiators in upstairs bedrooms
Fully fitted open plan kitchen with induction hob, electric oven, washing machine, dish washer, fridge, freezer, microwave and coffee machine. Dining table and lounge area has a wood burning stove and tv with built in DVD player.
Travel cot and high chair available

The most beautiful place! Has everything you need, decor is lovely & modern and it has the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The location is great, you aren’t completely isolated but have the perfect amount of peace & quiet.
It has the best view from the front door, which stretches down to the sea, meaning you can often see the sunset if the weather allows. It’s also a short walk to the closest beach, Tangasdale, where we saw the most incredible sunset and had the whole beach to ourselves.
Great communication from the host too. Couldn’t fault our stay.
I stayed here with my family on two separate occasions and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again. The accommodation is deceptively spacious with 4 bedrooms inside what looks like a tiny cottage. It’s super clean and modern and equipped with everything you could need for your stay. As well as all the mod cons inside like an amazing coffee machine, log burner, and wifi for cosy nights it is also equipped with lots of outdoor gear like boogie boards, windbreakers and wetsuits. The host has left instructions for everything but is really helpful if you need help with anything. It’s only a short drive to all the amazing beaches of Barra and you can even watch golden eagles from the back door as they nest in the hills behind.
My kids absolutely loved it here and we’ll definitely be back.
